It's mandatory in the Nigerian constitution for all politician, who possess cash and properties, and more importantly for political office holders, to decleare in details their assets before and after leaving office.
Looking at the Foreign currencies being declared by the current Zamfara State governor which is running into Trillions of Naira, one wonders if his declaration is a joke or a reality, thst is, a true state of his financial worth.
The volume of money he has declared is seriously disturbing and alarming as he might as well be the richest man in Africa. But surprisingly the Code of conduct bureau is yet to query the source of these humongous sum declaration!
Wouldn't it really be interesting and culturally okay for the general public to know the source of wealth of this governor before now? Especially when he the Governor is only known to have been an employee banker.
Nigerians are entitled to know the source of Dr. Dauda Lawal's humongous wealth declaration, as it becomes more interesting that a larger amount declared by the governor is wholly in forex. Will it be far fetch to assume that something is fishy about this unusual asset declaration?
